This is the story of making a movie. It all changes when the shoot is chewed out by a real Yakuza, Boss Yao Asakkichi. Asakkichi’s rage becomes even more indignant when he realizes that the director doesn’t even have money to pay the crew, let alone the interest on the debts owed. “Film is art! Even so, don’t y’all have lives too?” Upon that exclamation, Asakkichi decides to forgive the debts and pay the staff in exchange for becoming the film’s director. As he takes over, the filming starts to drift significantly from the original concept. The reluctant and meek staff also soon start to catch on to the Boss’ vision and passionately put themselves into the project. During all that, the original director makes a confession to Asakkichi. “Actually, I also borrowed money from another Yakuza.” Asakkichi and this newly revealed yakuza have had nothing but bad blood and bitter rivalry in the past.
